Reflections

It’s been just about two years since assuming the president’s job. This coincided with the worst recession most of us have seen in our lifetime. Through it all, the members of the Cunski American Social Club maintained their optimism and the festive atmosphere characteristic of our meetings and social events. Though we had to shift gears and downsize some things, our club members, extended family and friends continued to support our social activities.

The club’s annual Christmas parties and picnics were very well attended over the past couple of years. Our fishing trips attracted those truly optimistic souls who enjoy a relaxing summer day on the water. Adults and kids had a great time at these memorable events. A very warm and hearty thank you is extended to all who attended these events and helped to make them successful. A special note of thanks is also offered to our club officers Maris Cividini, Diane Sokolowski, Laura Kercelius, and Pompeo Hroncich for their superior work in putting these events together. 

Looking forward, we will be developing a full calendar of social events for the current year. The decisions and planning will take place at our next meeting on March 20, 2011. When each event is fully developed we will post the details on the Club's News Page. There you will find the name of the event along with its location, date, time, cost and contact information. Our social events are always open to our members as well as extended family and friends. From our perspective, there are no strangers – only friends we haven’t met yet. I’d like to extend a special note of thanks to our member and Webmaster, Ed Sokolowski. Ed has put his own time and effort into the reconstruction, design, and updating of our website. We are very grateful to have our website up and running again.
